Mantra Lingua's Literacy Grammar Tales provide the perfect software to develop primary pupils' grammar and comprehension of English. Ideal for EAL and ESOL pupils, the programme has been mapped against the English National Curriculum in the UK, and comes complete with teacher notes and whiteboard interactivity. It is the perfect tool for the multilingual classroom and a fantastic way to engage children in English learning.
Content is available in multiple languages to enable EAL pupils to access the the activities: English with Arabic, Bulgarian, Cantonese, French, Farsi, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Panjabi, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Somali, Sylheti, Turkish and Urdu. However, all tasks must be completed in English, encouraging EAL learners to progress quickly and develop confidence. There are tales available for both KS1 and KS2, to provide structured learning and support for every stage.
With content rooted in story telling, check pupils' understanding through fun and varied exercises including; look, listen and read, comprehension quizzes, synonym, preposition, word ending and rhyming words tasks, gap fill exercises, and story re-wording. All tasks are complete with vivid illustrations taken from the original picture book, and there is even the option of watching a video of the story. Pupils can also make their own 'Minibooks' from the content and use with our PenPal to make them talk! Our eLiteracy software is multimodal to appeal to all learning styles, from read/write to kinaesthetic.
